Real†Talk — Student Bible Study

May 13, 2015

Iowa Wesleyan College offers a variety of student groups that focus on special interests and professional organizations to enhance the educational environment on campus. Students can explore new interests or feed their passion in existing organizations. College officials also encourage students to form new groups to broaden their horizons. iwc

Real†Talk is a student Bible study supported by their faculty advisor and campus chaplain, Ronald Bupp. The group’s online description says, “We are students who come together to read and discuss God’s word and support each other.” Throughout the semester the Bible Study group has been meeting on Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m.

The chaplaincy ministry of Iowa Wesleyan College is supported in part by District Askings gifts from the United Methodist churches of the Southeast District. The chaplain provides for the spiritual health and vitality of students, faculty, and staff. Ministries include Christian connection groups (such as Real†Talk), counseling, and financial aid through faith-based scholarships. The Southeast District has a dream for a full-time chaplain to serve the campus in the future. A goal has been set to establish a $1 million endowment for this purpose.
